Rogers’ 2nd Annual Santa Parade

Get set fellow metbloggees and metblog readers, the holiday season has begun and I’m going to bombard you with things seasonal. Oh, well, now I actually have to live up to that….

On Sunday (Nov.20), I went out and watched the Santa Parade that marched along Georgia and Howe. It was great fun if not as big as ones I’ve attended more recently (Vancouver Pride Parade and the Calgary Stampede Parade). ~shrugs~ I can’t remember when I last went out for a Christmas parade so it was a conscious attempt to tap into that part of my mostly dormant child-like sensibilities… or something. It was notable how it was barely nippy and the west coast influence was strongly present in the presence of “western” floats - like the Pony Express and the Clyde Ride. Oh, and that the Indo Canadian Association comes out for every parade - always a pleasure to see.

I’ve uploaded a bunch of pictures on Flickr so that you can watch a slide show.

From the Pride Parade to the Stampede? That’s about the whole spectrum right there isn’t it?
