Comment card: Starbucks

I enjoy filling out comment cards, so when I picked up a steamed egg nog at the Starbucks by the Metrotown Skytrain station I was pleased to see that they had a stack of comment cards with the postage already paid.

Dear Starbucks:

I like your coffee, I drink oh so much of it, it helps me keep awake as I work hard for the man. I hope you keep making coffe forever and ever, or at least until I die.

Some days I drink over ten cups of coffee, but usually I try to stay under five because more than that and I can’t sleep, but it’s useful for staying up all night and listening to Bruce Springsteen and playing Dungeons and Dragons.

I hereby declare here in Vancouver Metroblogging that this life-long East Coaster (me) has turned my back on Second Cup (Toronto-based) for the comfy, familiar environs of Star*bucks and dream about their Frappuccinos….

My wife and I are comment card fans. We always fill out comment cards with this type of comedy. We use a simlar pattern: lure them in with legitimate praise and then slowly go off the rails. Your final run-on sentence was great. Unnecessary personal information is what filling in comment cards is all about.

Try adding pictures. For restaurants try “the waiter brought my dish but it was rotated the wrong way” and draw a diagram of how the plate should have been placed.
