Best of Vancouver 2005: the results

So last night our first Best of Vancouver poll came to an end. I’ve taken a look at the results and am ready to release them to the world. I’ll be the first to admit that the poll was troubled. We wanted to make it open, not confining readers to simply voting for the places picked by our (then) ten authors, so we left it open. The trouble is with a few exceptions we have multiple winners in catagories.
Next a lot of catagories went unanswered, and so I’ve left those out of the results. Also the voter apathy was fairly large, as we had far fewer entries than I thought we would. Maybe if we’d had prizes to give out people would have been quickers to vote.
Still the quality of those that did enter are impressive. And so I’m pleased to announce Metroblogging Vancouver’s Best of Vancouver 2005.
