Press swarm like flies: Lions Gate Bridge Reopens
This morning I noticed that there was no traffic on the Lions Gate Bridge. Then I looked down to find that not only had the Vancouver Police blocked traffic at Denman, rerouting them up Denman. Though having a major traffic route in town blocked there can’t be too much to film about traffic being rerouted. Still several cameramen for local stations were there capturing the cars turning left instead of going straight.
Now I can see that the bridge is open again. The Canadian Broadcast Corporation is reporting [cbc] that the delay was caused by a “distraught man”. The man is now in care, and the bridge is reopened. Did the bridge closing screw your day up? Did you have to go over the Ironworkers Memorial Second Narrows Bridge instead? Let’s hear your anti-traffic rant.
