While they haven’t declared Hockey Day in Canada a national holiday yet it might be a wonderful vote getting manuever by either the Conservatives or Liberal to promise to make it one. Today is Hockey Day in Canada, the day which all Canadian teams meet each other on the ice. All games will be televised on the CBC [cbc].

Ottawa at Montreal 12:00 p.m.

Toronto at Edmonton 4:00 p.m. in High Definition

Calgary at Vancouver 7:00 p.m.

So sit in front of your alter of entertainment (television) and bask in the warming glow of ice hockey goodness. Let your living room idol tell you tales, answer questions and mold your mind as it unfolds the narratives of whether Ottawa can regain their dominance of the league in Montreal, if Edmonton’s plucky play and youth will over come the age of Toronto or whether Vancouver can actually win two games in a row and beat another western team.
