James Moore and His Blog
My colleague, Ryan, wrote about the local races here in the Tri-Cities (Port Moody, Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam).
James Moore is fact getting a little flack from his conservative supporters, who don’t really support his contemporary views on gay marriage. Recently someone wrote a letter to the editor in one of the local papers complaining about this point, saying that theirs will be a reluctant vote.
Moore explained his stance as the result of his age, of how he grew up in a more open-minded generation and that he has to go with his beliefs on this issue.
James Moore, by the way, has a blog.
Do politicians in your riding have blogs? Do they allow comments?
This is so off-topic I’m going to metblog Hell (now there’s an exchange city for you), but the general consensus is that Monte Solberg of Medicine Hat has the best blog of any sitting MP. He gets kinda freaky about burnt almonds in one post.

Now, do all Conservatives have blogs?

I don’t think even most of the Conservatives have blogs. Paul Forseth is exempted from needing one by being the same age as my father.
But Monte is totally ready for the Medicine Hat metblog.
Monte should be forced to start one if he’s elected. Round up nineteen other Medicine Hat Metrobloggers and have a go at it!
Hmm, on an off-topic, I wish there were gossipy metblogs in small towns.

Can you imagine the goings-on? It would be like Northern Exposure on the Blogosphere.
Would they be called Smetblogs - a mixture of “small town” and “metblog”? Or “rublogs” for rural blogs?
(Apologies for use of the term “blogosphere.”)
I’ve only had a look at a couple of the sites out here in Maple Ridge (Keith Henry - Liberal and Mike Bocking - NDP) but neither has blogs. Going to see if any of the other candidates have blogs and will post an update.
