Should we actually meet each other?
Other sites in the Metroblogging [mb] family have monthly meetups [mbs] where both readers and authors are encouraged to come together, have a few drinks and maybe even do something fun like bowling. As of yet Metroblogging Vancouver hasn’t done anything. I know there are regular Vancouver blogger get togethers such as The Vancouver Blogger Meetup [mbv] that I’ve written about before. Also a lot of us are planning on being at blogging nerdfest Northern Voice [mbv] which puts the awesome in totally awesome.
Still should we as authors be getting together with the readers, or ourselves at least? Don’t we owe it to our livers to give them a monthly challenge and our tongues some actual part in our inter-communication?

Well are we interested in doing a regular monthly meetup thing? Or a semi-regular thing? What days of the week are good / bad for people?
I’d be interested in meeting up every month or two, and mid-week is best for me.
I also thought it might be entertaining to do some group-metroblogging events every few months — sort of like vandigicam-gone-metroblogging — say a blog/photo walk around downtown or Metrotown mall or any other high density high traffic area, documenting any and all local colour we can get our fingers on. Would be an interesting way to spend a Saturday or something.
