Rain, Rain

So, I bet you thought, after that glorious Saturday, that the 1953 record of 28 consecutive days with rain was safe.

You would be wrong. Thanks to some meteorological quirks, we recorded 0.2mm of rain on Saturday, the minimum required to call it a “rainy day.”

Even though I’m looking at glorious sunshine in my back yard right now, rain was lightly sprinkling down. Rain is predicted for this evening and the five-day forecast shows rain all week.

It seems that the information is conflicting on this one, unfortunately. According to News 1130 at least 0.2mm registered almost everywhere except for the airport weather station, which is the only one that mattered. It’s disappointing, because I was in Port Moody, where it was raining quite hard most of the afternoon, so I feel like I got the worst of both worlds — all of the rain, but none of the glory. . . .
