Those crazy cats over at Urban Vancouver are reporting that Todd Bertuzzi will be going to les Canadiéns [mbm] in exchange for Souray, Theadore and this new fangled dish which is french fries with gravy and cheese on them [uv].

Now Theadore is injuried, so that’s not cool, and in all honesty for the first time since Kirk left us goaltending isn’t the Canucks biggest problem.

Again what we need is a heart transplant and Ryan Smyth is that heart. Bertuzzi for Smyth.

Say it with me, Bertuzzi for Smyth.

If they trade him, they’ll trade him out of the divsion, making montreal or ottawa a much more likely scenario

More likely, but not really more productive. The Canucks need a team leader, someone who has both skill and drive to push the team forward. Smyth would die to see his team win, it’s a quality that Bertuzzi sometimes has but very rarely these days.
