Cupcakes, the store with more cupcakes than you can shake sticks at

On my brithday I was given a box of four cupcakes. At the time I was still fairly new to Vancouver so I was surprised to learn they were from a resturant that not only specialized in the cakes of cup, but also named itself that.

Located on Denman Street Cupcakes is a dieter’s nightmare, but a sweet tooth’s nirvana. Filled with cupcakes of all types, it’s both surprising that such a eatery exists and also sort of obvious as though because its such a good idea you think there would be more of them. I mean who wouldn’t perfer a nice frosted cupcake to a Tim Horton’s donought?

The problem with Cupcakes is that their wares are on the expensive side, and the cupcakes are not worth it. They’re average cupcakes with a large amount of mediocre icing on top.

I want to like this place: I’ve tried it several times, and it’s a pretty little shop. But it’s not good enough to justify its premium pricing.

I never enjoyed their cupcakes. FYI, you can get the mini ones at Urban Fare. O ya, and Cupcakes delivers.
