It is almost upon us

If you haven’t yet registered for the Sun Run, we are rapidly approaching the very final of deadlines. It is likewise not too late to find a spot along the route to plant yourself and watch 50,000 spry or weary runners zip by to make you feel really lazy 50,000 times over. =D Runners love all the fanfare they can get.

For the past while, cheerful and multi-coloured Sun Run banners festoon Georgia at Burrard - I’m a such a sucker for event-specific banners they hoist up around the city that I brought a camera along during a run and made a route to take me by this intersection!

I will be lined up around Georgia and Burrard, hopefully with enough awareness throughout to be able to report back about the event. Unfortunately, folks, running comes first. Blogging does come a close second as what else is one to do when running for an hour? (Mentally drafting a post-mortem blog entry is my specialty as indicated by my Running Series blogs.)

I imagine there might be a contest. I think it was Ryan who blogged about the fat ballerina runner. There must be a prize - other than the fact he is raising money - because running like that is insufferable!
