Port Moody Dog Sign

Another sign with a sense of humour. Do any other other municipalities aside from Port Moody, whose sign is pictured above, have these?

Port Moody has got to be one of the doggiest suburbs in the Lower Mainland. For its 30,000 population, we have eight dog-related businesses, including a pet bakery. Despite the city’s yuppiness, however, Port Moody’s pooches dwarf Yaletown’s accessory dogs. I guess it’s because we also have a huge number of SUV moms. They need the big dogs to justify the big cars.

In North Van, there are some fairly unique “Watch for Deer” signs along Mt. Seymour Parkway. They feature the words “Oh Dear!” and “Yes Dear!” or animals that are clearly not deer (rogue elephant anyone?) with the words “watch for deer.”
