Turn off the lights, I’m trying to take a nap.

With much fanfare, the Science World lights were turned back on last week. By “fanfare” I mean 10 or so people (probably electricians and their wives) clapping respectfully as a switch was thrown and the hideous bright ball turned back on for the first time in more than 6 months.

A rumour has been floating around the ether recently that Telus planned to erect a gigantic neon “TELUS” logo on the top of Science World, just in time for the olympics. Doing so would ensure their gawdy corporate logo would be in many of the skyline shots of Vancouver, thus thwarting Bell’s expensive status as the official telecommunications supplier of the 2010 Olympics.

Say it ain’t so?

I doubt they’ll get away with that. An injunction would be issued pronto. I was very excited to see it all lit up though!

I don’t know about you, but to me it seems to twinkle a lot more than it did before. I have spent hours trying to crack the code and uncover the pattern.
