While we’re on a berry-picking binge here at Metroblogging Vancouver, Vancouverites can aim their cars southward and head off to Westham Island. Accessed only by a rickety one lane bridge, the island has all the weird berries you never even knew existed, all in one convenient location at Emma Lea Farms.

Along with the usual strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries, you can also pick hybrids like loganberries, tayberries, boysenberries and, for those of you in on the joke, marionberries. Buckets cost $1 each - bring your own otherwise.
