Lydia, the Cirque and the Science World ^[1]

Get it? In tents. Say it aloud and trust me you’ll enjoy the audio cleverness that my post title contains. Anyway last night as part of a work thing I went with my girlfriend to Cirque du Soleil [cds ^[3]] which has spent the last few weeks in giant ass tents beside Science World.

Now if you’ve been considering going to Cirque du Soleil I can not personally recommend it, but then again in a group of around thirty people that we went with I was one of only two people who did not like it. So you have a 28/30 chance of loving it and finding it both magical and whimsically enthralling.

Vegas doesn’t offer odds that good.

It’s pretty much what you would expect, a lot of colourful costumes and amazing leaping and spinning on ropes with a sort of world music vibe. It’s really amazing what the performers can do, though at least a quarter of the show has to be in violation of some child labour law or another.
