Bubble Tea Fun

For anyone that’s been in Vancouver long enough you’ve probably heard about or experienced bubble tea. Being such a diverse city, bubble tea is the Asian contribution to Vancouver’s cafe culture. It’s a drink that is commonly made cold but you can also get it hot. Usually made with: Black or Green Tea & Some sort of flavour & Tapioca pearls. Sometimes they make them into milk shakes or slushies as well.

Anyways, this is actually a post about a cheap and economical activity that you may be able to squish in before the weather gets horrible.

If you’ve talked to anyone about a good bubble tea place to go to they’ve probably told you about Dragon Ball Tea House. It’s located on King Edward at Oak and the reason why they’re so popular is because they make a very good bubble tea along with some of the lowest prices.

Being located at King Edward & Oak means you can pick up a great tasting drink (prices are approx $3.50) by yourself or with a cohort. However, instead of sticking around in the small cafe go out and walk 1 block down King Edward to Osler St and make a right. Wander around and get lost amidst some of Vancouver’s nicest homes located within this area known as Shaughnessy. If you stay on Osler you’ll eventually hit a giant round-a-bout that contains a park. It’s a nice place to stop and sit on a bench (not to mention discard your most likely empty bubble tea container).

From this area you can choose numerous directions to head in to look at other amazing homes and mansions.
