In the past, cute animals and a few characters not immediately recognizable as any Earth-resident species have had the honor of running around being cute for our Olympics spectators. Since our Olympic logo, the Inukshuk, is more about Canada (well, sort of) than Vancouver, how about a mascot that actually represents local wildlife - perhaps a killer whale? A sea otter? A seagull? Just a suggestion.
