I am probably not the best person to be writing this event listing - I don’t think I could ever be a vegetarian, vegan or otherwise since a nice juicy steak can make its way into my belly anytime it wants. I am not, however, opposed to eating well, being eco-conscious and living a healthy lifestyle.

This weekend EarthSave Canada presents: Taste of Health Food Festival 2006 - September 30 - October 1, 2006 at the Croatian Cultural Centre (3250 Commercial Drive)

The 8th Annual popular Taste of Health Food Festival includes exhibits, workshops, presentations and food demonstrations to showcase plant-based foods [Vancouver Vegetarian Association]

From 10:00am to 6:00pm on Saturday, the event will feature well-known chefs, cooking displays, community booths, book fair, a kids zone and more. It costs $7 and is an easy 10-15 min walk from the Skytrain. Click on either of the links provided above for directions and schedules.
