Terry Glavin: He’s better than me

Well, that’s it. I just discovered fellow Vancouver blogger Terry Glavin’s blog. As such, my reason for blogging is pretty much kaput.

Pretty much every idea I ever enunciated on my current blog, jnarvey.COM or my old blog, is already there on his site - only, more articulately, with better support and links. From the Darfur genocide (his post/mine) to the Woodwards demolition (his post/mine) to Kyoto (his post/mine) and 9/11 conspiracy theorists (his post/mine)… it’s all there. Only, better.

I first noticed Terry (author/editor/T-1000) journalist/Glavin’s writing in the Georgia Straight just a few months back - mostly because he seemed to be taking the same kind of flak from Marxists and Al Queda apologists in the letters pages that I take from the few comments left on my site.

Anyway, for all those Vancouver bloggers out there who haven’t read his site, Terry Glavin’s site is definitely worth checking out.

What’s a blogger to do when faced with such an existential crisis? I’ll take my lead from Arnold in Terminator 2. When faced with his clear superior, the world’s coolest T-800 cyborg never backed down. He just kept on going - giving up and going home wasn’t an option. Hopefully, I at least won’t meet my end in a vat of molten metal, metaphorically or otherwise.

    Nice link whoring.

I thought MBV was about events in Vancouver. If I wanted biased, right-wing political commentary I’d look elsewhere, but really I don’t.

CHRIS: MBV is about virtually anything related to Vancouver - this includes discussing and linking to interesting Vancouver bloggers outside the scope of the MetroBlogging site, whether or not you in particular want to check out that site. If you want a comprehensive events listing for Vancouver a la press release, this isn’t the place for it. Cheers.
