Trolley Tours - Not Just for Tourists

trolley.jpgAdding to my post about the Stanley Park Ghost Train, Matt’s post about haunted places in Vancouver [mbv] and Maktaaq’s about different/unique tours of Vancouver [mbv] I thought I would bring up the Vancouver Trolley Company’s: Haunted Vancouver Trolley Tours [vtc]

The Vancouver Museum’s largest fundraiser, runs from October 13th through October 31st, 2006, departing nightly from the Museum at 1100 Chestnut Street, Vancouver. Tours depart at 7:00pm and 9:00pm nightly. The tickets are just $25 and include admissions into the Museum’s latest exhibit. Please be advised this tour is not for children, you must be 13 or older to go on this tour [vtc]

The tour hosts/storytellers on each trolley entertain all dressed up and in character, telling stories about murder and mystery. I went on the tour about 3 years ago and it was pretty okay. I learned quite a bit about Vancouver history and man, did we ever cover some ground. From Southlands to Fraser St to Stanley Park, lots of info and spooky tales being thrown at ya. You’ll be let off the trolley in certain places for a walking tour, and some urban legends. It makes for an interesting evening.
