Glow-in-the-Dark Bowling
“Bowl under laser lights and glow in the dark equipment while rocking to the latest music hits on the air.”
I don’t know if I can stomach the latest music, but glow-in-the-dark bowling?! Woo hoo! It’s almost as good as glow-in-the-dark mini-golf or rollerskating under a disco ball! I’d put on a pair of slime-oozing bowling shoes for that!
Willowbrook Lanes at the edge of the GVRD, in good old Langley, offers Extreme Bowling on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, with weekend night bowling from 11 pm to 1 am.
Find the lanes at 6350 - 196 Street.

Is this a new thing for y’all up in Canadia? We’ve had this (called Cosmic Bowling) down here in Vancouver, WASHINGTON, for at least 10 years…
I think the new googoplex bowl-o-ramas have cosmic nights too.. the place in Riverport and Excalibur in Surrey. If you get a strike with a glow in the dark headpin you win a free game or something.
I’m looking for more 5 pin bowling alleys, all the new ones are 10. The only “5″ I can think of are Dell, Scottsdale and Commodore Lanes. But the concept of 5 pins is foreign to my American husband. He’s just lucky ‘Candlepin‘ hasn’t caught on!
Aaron: It’s new to a non-bowler like me…I’ve never been to Riverport and I have never, ever heard of Excalibur. Thank you to Miss 604 for pointing that out.
There is a five-pin alley in Port Coquitlam, very close to the Coquitlam border. Matt, also an American, said it’s ten-pin bowling for him or not at all.
It’s ten-pin bowling for me or not at all!
Couldn’t resist the temptation. . . . Oddly, yes, it all seems to be about which one you’re searching for. When we were looking for ten-pin bowling, all we could find was five. What’s worse, the signs and even phone book listings for bowling alleys often don’t define which is which. You have to peek inside to be sure.
