Cheapie Tuesday – VAG & MoA

Vancouver Art Gallery & Museum of Anthropology
By Donation – 5pm – 9pm
VAG @ 750 Hornby Street
MoA @ 6393 N.W. Marine Drive

Time to get cultured! What better way than a double dose. Tuesdays are the happening nights for by donation (or as much as you can afford) admission to two of Vancouver’s best cultural cubbie holes.

The current exhibit going on at the Vancouver Art Gallery is called “PAINT”. Curated by Neil Campbell it’s an exploration into some of British Columbia’s own artists and their take on paint and painting.

Once you’re done perusing at the VAG boogie on down to the Museum of Anthropology at UBC (or vice versa). There is an extremely large permanent collection there as well as some new upcoming exhibits this year.

Don’t worry if you can’t take everything in since this by donation type admission is an ongoing thing every Tuesday.

When you’re at the MoA be sure to check out the work in progress in the great hall by artist Lyle Wilson. He’s working on a giant carving of a mask.
