Post bills here
In the last week or so there seems to have been a tremendous effort on the part of the city to clear up a lot of the layers upon layers of handbills that cover nearly every street light and pole downtown.
Today I noticed these on a lot of the poles, new areas for bill posting that can be easily cleared off. The areas say that all bills will be cleared off on Tuesday. This seems like such an obvious step that it’s hard to see why we’re just trying it now.
I’m not against posted-bills, but then again there’s only so many months you can look at the same rave flier before you want a change of scenery.
They’ve had these posts around Main & Broadway for at least a year or two. The new problem is that there’s fierce competition for space, and the poster companies instantly cover everything over and often take down other peoples’ posters that go up later in the week. Not a problem if you’re not involved, but a bit of a hassle if you’re an indie band trying to get some posters to stay visible somewhere.
