VPD police fight on Youtube but not on the store’s security cam
On Saturday the 17th of March there was an accident kitty-corner to where I work on Seymour and Robson. I didn’t think anything of it, only noticing that a storefont was now boarded up. However since then there’s been a steady stream of police in our store asking to see our security camera footage for that night. The day after there was a plainclothes cop, and since then there’s been at least three other trips into the store to try to secure the footage.
I had no idea why getting this footage was so important until my co-worker told me to check out “something cool” on Youtube. The footage has been getting a lot of press since it shows the VPD arresting an off duty fireman and his son [ n1130]. The clip’s getting media attention from places like 24 Hours and the linked News1130 site. Meanwhile we remained obvlivious to it until about three minutes ago when we put together all the facts and got the whole story.
So yeah, I feel somewhat oblivious.

Erm, it’s kitty-corner. Kiddie corner sounds kind of wrong, in a wrong way.
Was that in front of H-Mart?
Fixed.
Now you’re the speller and the cooker, eh?
