Getting a wristband at Chapters for a book signing means you have to stay in line for 2 hours and can only leave the line up if you need to use the restroom. Sadly for me, I had to go back to work and, therefore, my wristband would be nil and void. I decided to go back to Chapters on Robson after work to see if I could at least see the Trailer Park Boys and take some pictures. I lucked out. I got pictures of them, got my book signed, AND got a photo with them.

I was amazed that the crowd was very civilized for this event. I attended a comedy show at the Orpheum where the Trailer Park Boys were MC’ing and it got really out of hand. The guy next to me in line had a few gifts for the guys - a guitar slide for Bubbles, a bottle of rye for Julian and a couple of small balls of tinfoil for Ricky. Fearing he wouldn’t be able to get close enough to them to give them his presents, he threw most of the stuff at them, and handed the Chapters’ “event helper” the bottle of booze. Good times.
