Price comparison shopping for the new HP book

I went to Chapters in Coquitlam this morning to pick up Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. There were about two dozen stacked up in a once full crate right at the front door. Not looking at the price, I picked one up and paid $38.16 for the hard covered book.

Next stop – Safeway at Kensington Plaza for a few groceries. While paying for our groceries, my husband pointed up to the customer service area where a small display of the same Harry Potter books were selling for $26.99.

Bummer. I had already started reading my Chapters book (in the car), it was too late to take it back. DARN, but, in the event that you haven’t bought yours yet and are planning to, check Safeway first!

Happy reading…and, is it just me, or are you tired of the Durselys’ at this point? I think they should have been dropped about two books ago. Anyway, please excuse me while I go back to my new book. Thanks.
