I'm involved in Melanie's project and it is so exciting to see that the game has begun! I've written an article about the "Where on Earth is Waldo" project on my blog. It also looks at other current art that uses Google Earth as a medium. Also it has a 2007 photo of a huge (biodegradable) Homer Simpson that showed up on a British hillside next to the famous chalkdrawing fertility symbol "Cerne Abbas Giant".
