Cornerstone Cafe: Good coffee and free wireless in Tri-Cities

Cornerstone Cafe

Just because I’m spending a weekend out in the ‘burbs doesn’t mean I give up the desire to sip on some coffee, nor does it mean that wireless internet isn’t a handy addition either.

That’s why I was thrilled to discover that Cornerstone Cafe & Catering:
1. Isn’t a Starbucks
2. Has plenty of big comfy leather seats to sit in
3. Makes a pretty decent latte
4. Has free wireless internet
5. Even has a couple of power outlets (but wouldn’t you know, this is the one day I left the adaptor behind)

Cornerstone is located at 3003 Burlington Drive at Pinetree Way in Coquitlam, adjoining the Coquitlam library and city hall, about a half kilometre north of Coquitlam Centre.

They’re open until 10pm on most nights.

I feel the same way about The Wicked Café, at the corner of 7th and Hemlock.

    It is also:
    1. Not a Starbucks, Seattle’s Best, or even a Blenz,
    2. Has comfy seats
    3. Makes decent latte
    4. Has free wi-fi, and also
    5. Has a rotating art/photographic exhibition
(I’m not sure about the power outlets)
