What to do for New Year’s?

So, my lovely bride and I are trying to come up with something to do for New Year’s. Historically (and perhaps this verges on Too Much Information), we’ve had one crappy New Year’s after another.

But hope springs eternal!

So, what are you doing for New Year’s? Because I could really use some help here.

The current frontrunner is probably a New Year’s Eve cruise, the drunker cousin to a carol ship. It’s kind of like going to a nightclub, but you can’t leave early.

So help me out here. I’m getting desperate, and running out of time.

Well, my lovely boyfriend and I are considering dropping $80 each on an 8-course meal and wine tasting at the Hamilton St. Grill, where we would spend the whole evening. The food is supposed to be really good there.

It’s gonna be 2007 already? I was supposed to be rich and famous by now…

At the risk of tooting my own… uh, something, the Joey Only Outlaw Band‘s playing the Cambie Hotel’s pub New Year’s Eve. There’ve got to be lonelier ways of ringing in the New Year than in the company of 300 drunk Australian backpackers swearing this is gonna be the year they finally dismantle the system and overthrow The Man 8)

You can come over for our New Years “Party”. It is pretty low key….a few games, some food and drink, and of course the countdown.

    You know where we are.
