I really don’t get how this is and blurry pictures of PJs is Vancouver related? I enjoy MetBlogs … but this content seems more appropriate to a personal weblog. I like to read about Vancouver ("Local politics, event reviews, lunch recommendations and ways to avoid that big traffic jam downtown. If it’s happening in our cities, we’re on it"). Maybe I need to look elsewhere?
Nothing new here. This has been the case with the Vancouver Metblog since it started. There’s a captain of the bloggers, but not an editor. There’s never been any quality control of the posts; no steering hand. The author roster has always been whoever’s been willing to dive into the fray, as opposed to a more select group chosen for ability to write relevantly.
The real problem, though, lies with the philosophy of blogs themselves, which is quantity over quality. This gets particularly bad when bloggers try to meet some arbitrary quota (e.g. "every day", "two to three times a week"). This leads to forced posting, the writing of entries regardless of whether or not the writer has anything of note to say at the time. The unsurprising result is a steady stream of trivialities. Even the occasional gem just gets drowned in the ocean of mediocrity.
This is why most blogs stink.

Keith:
This is for Keith and only for Keith.
Seriously man you’re boring. If you hate it so much stop coming. Fair critism is fine, but just bitching about the same thing again and again and again is some kind of sign of obsessive compulsiveness on your part.
I’ve addressed your complaints again and again, pointing out where you’re either factually inaccurate or just being a pain to be a pain, and still you keep complaining.
I wish the buses would let me ride for free, but they won’t. No matter how much I write Translink they just don’t seem to change their mind.
Many of your complaints are accurate, a few are just your opinion, but this is the way things are. You’re a good guy, I’ve enjoyed meeting you. You seem to have fun at the meetups, but for whatever reason you either don’t remember us having this debate again and again or you just like the attention.
I’m done debating with you. If you want to see my points just search for your name on the site and you’ll see us having this conversation again and again. I’m sorry you don’t seem to dig it, but don’t troll around trying to drive off our authors.
A significant number of people have stopped blogging here because of trolls, and you’re the most persistant. People, who you’ve met and seem to be friendly towards in real life, have specifically noted you as a reason they’ve stopped writing here.
From this point forward any comment from you that’s just a restatement of your position will be treated as spam unless the post is an open invitation for this discussion. It’s stopped being a discussion that could lead anywhere, and you’re just hijacking attention from anyone with actual new or constructive comments for what I have to imagine is some kind of weird personal vendetta.
These an entire internet out there Keith. Go visit it.

I offered to post my Project 365 on Vancouver Metblogs.
As the weather changed suddenly, pulling out flannel pjs seemed appropriate to a post about the weather.
I could not leave the house yesterday because I’ve hurt myself, so I posted a pic of what I was doing in Vancouver.
If that’s a problem, I will post elsewhere.
